Lady Gaga lit up a cigarette during her performance, dismaying all those who have tried to convey to young people that the antisocial and lethal habit of smoking is not cool.

Lady Gaga fired up the audience at her final show in Taipei on Friday by chanting “Taiwan” a dozen times, though her firing up of the stage with pyrotechnics as well as taking a naughty puff on a cigarette is set to bring a fine of NT$150,000 (US$5,000) from the site’s administration and the local health department, reports our sister newspaper China Times.

In her second show at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall, the 26-year-old singer smoked a cigarette as she sang Love Game before a crowd of nearly 15,000, thereby violating local anti-smoking regulations. A 12-second pyrotechnic effect was also frowned upon by the authorities, though presumably not by the audience.
